Do you find yourself hanging in the shop debating between our two Golds? I'll let you in on exactly what you need to know to make the best choice for you & your patients!
Both the Miyabi and Homare golds are extremely pure, beautiful, 100% Japanese moxa. They are both perfect for direct application and both carry the incredibly light, soothing aroma that sets our moxa apart. They are easy to roll, the fibers hold strong, & you can rest assured your patients are getting the gentle heat and nourishing warmth that will support their highest potential in healing.
Now let's talk about the differences!
The Miyabi is our highest grade ultra pure moxa. I suggest the Miyabi for practitioners who are looking to roll thread moxa, sesame seed moxa, or half-rice grain sized pieces. The incredibly light & airy texture of the Miyabi will allow you to roll the finest threads possible and achieve the most gentle direct moxa experience for you patients. I have yet to find a higher quality moxa out there, which is why I am so happy to offer it at our shop.
Homare is going to be the most comparable to other gold moxa that you can find on the market. The texture is slightly more dense than the Miyabi, making it burn a little warmer. It is perfect for direct moxa down to about rice grain sized pieces. I have also seen Homare used as a needletop moxa in circumstances where only the most mellow aroma will do. I have had many patients comment on how comforting the aroma of this moxa is during treatment.
